Suggest a speaker you would like to see perform at ScienceSLAM.

Are you writing your thesis, working on your PhD or happen to be Finland’s rising star in your research area? Are you passionate about your research and cannot wait to share it with others? Is there a hidden entertainer in you that urges to come out? Then join us with your contribution!

For ten minutes the stage could be yours.

Participants can come from all areas and stages of science and research: from the merited professor in particle physics to the group of arts students working on their bachelor’s thesis.

The rules are simple: each presentation is no longer than 10 minutes and has to cover your own area of research/expertise.

The medium of presentation is free. Creativity and fun is strongly encouraged. Talk about your research, choreograph it, do a pantomime, shoot a film or compose a hymn and present it to the hungry audience! Most importantly, win the hearts of the crowd for you. Involve them, inspire them, make them laugh … or make them cry. Because at the end of the evening it will be the audience who votes their favorite performance and selects the hero of the night, the winner of ScienceSLAM!

If you would like to participate with your research topic–alone or as a group–at the next ScienceSLAM, then fill in our application form with a short description about yourself and your presentation and the event you would like to participate.
